Whether you are looking at a bigger home yourself, downsizing or looking to move from the city to the country, there is no doubt the stamp duty holiday continues to give the market a huge festive shot in the arm.
Remember the Chancellor saying: “Nearly nine out of ten people buying a main home in England will pay no stamp duty at all”.
In England, whether you are a first time buyer or not, there is now no stamp duty on a residential property that is your main home up to £500,000, after which you start paying tax. Might just be worth thinking again about that elusive move….
