Buyers & Sellers Beware!
When we were following up on some chain management for a recently completed house sale. It became apparent that an enforced delay in the conveyancing process had been caused by a request for additional funds from an estate agent nominated Solicitor.
The buyers’ subsequently had to very reluctantly fork out close on £500 to allow the completion to take place. I was told that the ‘up front’ fees were in addition to their ‘already agreed’ forthcoming Solicitor’s costs.
Please ensure you receive written confirmation of ALL associated fees when you decide to buy or sell property!
Good luck in your house move.
