What Documents are Required to Sell Your Home?

  1. Proof of your identity
  2. Property title deeds (These may be with your previous mortgage provider or Solicitor)
  3. Shared or individual freehold/leasehold documentation if applicable
  4. Energy Performance Certificate
  5. Management information pack (Solicitor/Conveyancer will supply for you to complete)
  6. Fittings and contents form (Solicitor/Conveyancer will supply for you to complete)
  7. Property information form (Solicitor/Conveyancer will supply for you to complete)
  8. Mortgage details if applicable (At least have in place a deal in principle – DIP)

Try to ensure that if you have had any building/electrical/gas installation work done on your property, that you have the certificates confirming the work carried out.
